Andrew A. August co-founded the Pinnacle Law Group in 1990 (formerly Bayer & August LLP). For 20 years he has focused his practice on complex business and real estate litigation, trial and appellate practice in California State and Federal Courts, as well as arbitration tribunals. August has litigated and taken to trial and arbitration a wide variety of commercial and real estate related disputes. His real estate litigation practice has included representations of municipalities, developers, property owners, landlords, tenants, contractors and design professionals.

Over the past 10 years, August has represented numerous plaintiffs and defendants in cases brought under California’s Unfair Competition and False Advertising Laws (California Business and Professions Code sections 17200 et seq. and 17500 et seq.).

August’s trial skills were recently recognized by the State Bar of California Litigation Section: He was invited to give plaintiff’s opening statement in the 2003 annual two day State Bar Trial Symposium "Champions of the Courtroom – The Masters in Action." He also has substantial appellate experience and has been counsel of record in more than 35 appellate matters (both writs and appeals) in Federal or State Court.
